Notice under Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 is hereby given that a vacancy exists in the office of Parish Councillor for the Down Thomas ward of Wembury Parish Council.
The vacancy has arisen due to John Stansell resigning as a councillor as declared by the Council on 7th April 2026.
For a by-election to be held to fill the vacancy, a request by TEN registered local government electors in Down Thomas ward of Wembury Parish Council must be made, on or before 24th April 2026 from the date of the notice to:
The Proper Officer, Electoral Services, South Hams District Council,
Follaton House, Plymouth Road, Totnes,
TQ9 SNE.
If an election is not requested, Wembury Parish Council will co-opt a person to fill the vacancy as soon as practicable.
