I cannot believe it is December already, this year has flown by. The wall to the right hand side of Wembury beach entrance road has now been rebuilt by local walling contractor Maxine McAdams. It looks really good, much better than the overgrown crumbling wall bank that used to be there.

Autumn has arrived! The change in seasons has been keeping the team busy with scrub clearance, fencing and removal of the over grown vegetation on the roadside by the entrance to Wembury beach car park.

The rangers have been putting the final touches on the refresh of Wembury this month. Amongst other tasks, they have repaired the chestnut fencing, capped the walls by the new access path and installed the new Finger posts surrounding Wembury Beach car park.

Three handmade picnic benches have now been installed above the car park at Wembury Beach. Their setting offers fantastic views of the bay and the Mewstone. Like us on Facebook and email a photo of your picnic at Wembury. We have also installed a new honesty box, sited at the top of the path down to the beach after the previous one was vandalised.

Summer is in full swing with path cutting ongoing across our sites. New picnic benches, hand made by the team, are due to be installed on the grass area at the back of the car park ready for the summer season…get your picnic hampers at the ready! The team have also been busy fitting new money boxes following the break-ins earlier in the year.

We are excited for the summer season to begin and the Rangers have been busy cutting and maintaining the footpaths around Wembury Point and the car park. With more work to be done across the area, the South Devon team is expanding and we
will welcome a new intern, Carla Tate at the beginning of July. We are also recruiting for a seasonal practical ranger to start in the next few weeks. .
